Event: Celebrate the International Year of Astronomy! Workshop - Orange County
Event Description: Educators learn how to simulate and/or duplicate Galileo’s five most important astronomical observations, while exploring what made those observations so significant. Through hands-on NASA STEM activities, investigate Lunar phases using models and observations, explore the effects on Earth from sunspots, solar flares and other solar activities, explore the relationships of a scale model of the Solar System, visualize the location of our Solar System in the Milky Way galaxy. All attendees will receive NASA educational resources and materials.
